The Challenge

Our partner agency’s client, an important research division, required a comprehensive redesign of their internal WordPress platform. The existing structure presented significant limitations impacting efficiency and user experience:

• Difficult Content Management: The existing system hindered efficient content flow and structure for the specialized content managed by the internal team.
• Suboptimal User Navigation: Users struggled with efficiently navigating and discovering relevant information within the established site architecture.

The objective was clear: architect and implement a full redesign, encompassing both front-end and back-end development, to create a more user-friendly, navigable, and easily managed platform for the division.

Our Role & Expert Execution

Engaged by the agency as the Lead Senior Full-Stack Developer & Technical Architect for this redesign, our role encompassed the end-to-end technical execution, acting as the agency’s trusted technical partner:

• Technical Architecture Leadership: Spearheading the technical approach for the redesign, including designing the new front-end structure (utilizing React) and engineering the necessary corresponding backend systems within WordPress.
• Lead Full-Stack Development: Leading the hands-on development of both the redesigned React-based front-end interface and the supporting backend functionalities within WordPress.
• Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance: Providing expert technical guidance and code review to other developers contributing to specific areas of the implementation, ensuring adherence to the architectural vision and maintaining high code quality standards.
• Seamless Agency Partnership: Collaborating closely and effectively with the partner agency’s project managers and designers to translate the redesign vision into a robust, functional, and reliable technical reality.

We executed a targeted, high-quality redesign within the existing WordPress framework.

This involved a full-stack implementation, where we developed a new, performant React-based front-end architecture from the provided visual designs, while simultaneously engineering the necessary backend structure and logic within WordPress to power the new interface and streamline content management.
